Sardis Outdoor Rentals is Chilliwack's only mountain bike and inflatable paddle board rental service.

Mobile Service

We are a zero-emissions mobile service located within the Sardis neighbourhood. Rentals are dropped off at Vedder Park, or upon special request, any location in Chilliwack. Trail options can be viewed on the bike routes page.

Environmentally Friendly

Our customer touch points are 100% digital - from booking through to picking up and using the rental equipment. There is no paper waste or carbon footprint when you rent with us.

Ease of Use

After a rental is booked on our website, we will meet you with the equipment at the Vedder Park parking lot. Our pick-up process is quick and efficient. After signing a digital waiver, the rental is yours to use for the rental period. For paddle board rentals, you will receive a how-to video to make your experience as easy as possible, and for bike rentals, you will receive an interactive route map that you can follow as you ride using the phone holder provided.

Safety & Sanitation

Every rental comes with safety equipment such as a lifejacket or bike helmet to keep you safe. Bikes are pumped and serviced and paddle boards are washed and sanitized before they are delivered to you, so you can have a stress free and enjoyable experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does renting with you work?

After you complete your booking online, we meet you at the Vedder Park parking lot with your rental. It is a mobile service, so you will need to confirm details with us before we show up with the equipment - either online or by phone, text or messenger. For suggestions on where to go, we provide bike routes on the website, however we can meet you anywhere in Chilliwack upon special request. Online bookings need to be made at least a day in advance.

Do you take same-day bookings?

You will need to give us a call to confirm availability for both inventory and your desired time slot in order for us to accept a same-day booking. We need at least an hour's notice to fulfill a booking, and it is not guaranteed that we will be able to accommodate a same-day booking.

Do you offer multi day rentals?

We only offer day rentals as we have a small inventory being a mobile business.

Can I return my day rental the next morning?

Rentals must be picked up and dropped off on the same day - they are not 24 hour overnight rentals. This provides us with enough time to clean and prepare the rental for other potential bookings the following morning. 

Do you rent e-bikes or youth bikes?

At this time, we only have 4 adult mountain bikes available. We do not carry e-bikes or youth bikes, but we may be adding these to our inventory in the future.

Do you rent downhill bikes or high end MTB bikes?

At this time we only have mountain bikes that are suitable for flat trails. We may be adding bikes to our inventory that are suitable for mountain biking trails in the future.

Do you have child seat attachments for bikes?

We have discontinued our bike trailer due to a low volume of rentals. At this time, we are not offering any child seat attachments or bike trailers.

Where do I ride a bike in Chilliwack?

The best flat trails you can ride a bike on are the Vedder Trail, which goes alongside a river, and the Canyon to Coast Trail, which has a nice mountain backdrop and is great for sunset viewing. You can find bike routes and different pick up spots for each of these trails on our bike routes page. We also provide cell phone holders so that you can follow the route as you ride.

Do you rent bike racks?

The only rentals we offer are bikes and paddle boards at this time.

Can the paddle boards be taken to Hicks Lake or other lakes?

Absolutely. As long as the rental is picked up and returned on the same day, it can be used at any lake.

Do you carry hard SUP boards?

No, we only offer inflatable paddle boards that are easy to transport in your car.

Do you carry kids paddle boards?

At this time we only have adult paddle boards.

Where can I go paddle boarding in Chilliwack?

Cultus Lake and Chilliwack Lake are the two go-to spots for paddle boarding, but you can also go to nearby cities for more options. Other popular destinations are Harrison Hot Springs, Hicks Lake and Stave Lake.
