Water Activities at Cultus Lake
Whether you are seeking a romantic getaway, a family vacation, an extended camping adventure or a fun day with your pet, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Spanning over six kilometers, Cultus Lake offers lots to explore by land or water. It is also one of the few lakes in the area that allows high speed water craft with options such as jet skiing, parasailing and power boating. Along the main beach, there are several docks where you can launch your water craft. Grab your paddle board or kayak rental and immerse yourself in the beauty surrounded by Cultus Lake.
You can also walk along the main beach to take in mountain views on one side and look at cute, cozy cabins on the other side. If you drive past the main beach, there are several other access points with free parking, including Entrance Bay, Delta Grove and Maple Bay.
For more family-friendly options, take your kids to Cultus Lake Waterpark, one of the largest water parks in Western Canada offering rides, lazy rivers, and splash pads, or Cultus Lake Adventure Park, an amusement park adjacent to the waterpark, with roller coasters, spinning rides, and carnival games.
Hiking at Cultus Lake
If you are renting a cabin, camping, or spending the day at Cultus Lake, there are a number of trails you can explore. From the main beach, there is a wonderful wooded trail you can access behind the campgrounds off Sycamore St. For a more challenging hike, try Teapot Hill, a steep, whimsical trail adorned with teacups, saucers and teapots. There are several other moderate trails nearby with old-growth forests including Seven Sisters Trail, as well as Vedder Mountain, which is a massive mountain hike you can access on the road down to Cultus Lake.
